She shines In a world full of ugliness She matters When everything is meaningless
Fragile She doesn't see her beauty She tries to get away Sometimes It's just that nothing seems worth saving I can't watch her slip away
I won't let you fall apart
She reads the minds of all the people as they pass her by Hoping someone can see If I could fix myself i'd... But it's too late for me
We'll find the perfect place to go where we can run and hide I'll build a wall and we can keep them on the other side But they keep waiting And picking
It's something I have to do I was there, too Before everything else I was like you

@Ron: I was a little apprehensive about doing the whole lyrics with the image thing, to the point that I was actually thinking about deleting the lyrics altogether. Now I'm glad I kept them. Thanks again, Ron. :)

I love the strong use of depth-of-field in so many of your images. It really directs focus to the image subject. Great vivid colors in this image as well!

@MaryB: Thank you so much, Mary.
I just love how your colors work so well together, and the fact that you use such a short DOF accentuates the colors in the backround which also compliment the main colors your using. Sorry that got a little wordy but It was hard to explain all the things I liked about this series.

@drphoto: Yeah, you wouldn't know it by looking, but I'm a huge NIN fan. I really liked how the lyrics complimented the image. I'm glad you like it too. Thanks, Dan!

@Will: Thanks, Will. :)
Why would we not know by looking? I had a coworker tell me he was surprised to hear me listening to Rammstein and Rage Against the Machine, as if certain music only fits certain people.

@Twelvebit: Most people peg me as a country music lover, but I'm just a rock 'n roller at heart. It's what I grew up on. Funny story, we were in Indy to see NIN play...as we were walking into the venue, I was asked by some early 20-something if I was aware that this wasn't a Keith Urban concert. I had to chuckle, but boy did I feel old.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my pblog. Very much appreciated.
