From my very first "photo shoot" with my stepdaughter (see "heart and hand" photo). Going through some of my earlier photos...I cannot wait until Spring. Taken at the end of August 2007.
Once again, you have some very cool lighting going on. Nice shot.

@Melissa: Thank you, Melissa. :)
Portraits can be a challenge but are all the more rewarding for that. I like how she is looking off to the left . .

@Ronnie 2¢: Thank you, Ronnie.
I just looked through your photoblog (all of it). Love how it reminds us that we're all not that different. Thanks for stopping by.
Very nice portrait.

@Reza: Thank you, Reza. :)
A really lovely portrait of a beautiful young woman. Beautiful, almost sparkling, bokeh in the background. The light on the left side of her face is a just a little bit bright…but still a beautiful portrait. I can picture her sitting under the soft shade of a tree here in this shot – makes me think of spring or summer.

@Ron: Thanks, Ron. I'm glad you like it. I tried to "fix" the brightness in Photoshop, but wasn't able to get it where I wanted. :(
Very beautiful portrait! I love the color, light/shadows, color, dof, color. It doesn't really look like she's posing, looks kind of like you caught her in a contemplative mood. Great photo!

@danthro: I wasn't so sure about this one since the light was so bright and the shadows were so prominent, but in the end I loved how the light caught her eyes.
As always, thanks! :)
Lovely photo, the composition is marvelous.

@MaryB: Thank you, Mary.
Your photo today was amazing. :)
I love the shadow and the light. I also love the composition. The way you kept her to the left rather than dead center.

@Edward James: Have to say the composition was a fluke. I had only had my camera for a couple days, so I was more concerned about learning about the settings and so on. I shot lots of photos that day hoping I'd get at least one good one. Thanks again! :)
She has a very expressive face. Nice work.

@Viewfinder: Thank you, VF.
Looking back over the last week, I didn't realize you were equally talented as a portrait photographer. You just never know about some people. Really nice work.

Beautiful capture of light!
