October 2007.
I've always found pictures of nothing but legs to be appealing for some reason, so this is my attempt...
As far as treatment goes, I was going for more of a weathered look. I wanted to emphasize the creases/wrinkles of the jeans. The texture you see isn't added, it's the texture of the concrete wall.
*I'm sorry I won't be able to personally thank each and every one of you who leaves a comment today and tomorrow (I work weekends). But please know that it is intended, and that I am very grateful. Looking forward to catching up with everyone on Monday. Thank you. :)
what is he/ she doing, nice concept

@Irwansyah Sk3tchw!nd: Just standing there...
Thanks for stopping by. :)
I love, love, love this picture! I'm a fan of leg and feet pictures too. I love the mystery of who they are and what they are doing. The processing is great too. Great shot!

nice shot.

This is fine. The legs are great, but it's the boots that, for me, set the tone. I also like the composition and the soft tones overall.

I do love the weathered look and the colors are so well done.
In your "I'm sorry" text, I think you forgot a word after "intended" - should be "not intended"? I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.

@lissa: Thanks for the comment.
As far as the "I'm sorry" text, hopefully people knew what I meant. ;)
this is nice, fit for a cover of a modeling magazine.

@pedro alexandre: Pedro, you're too generous, but I will graciously accept the compliment.
Thanks. :)
I love the overall feel/tone of this image, Melissa. The textures of the jeans, wall, stones combine to give a very strong weathered feel. I think its really great! My compliments to your legs model and your stylist (that would probably be you, I'm thinking)!

@Ron: Thank you for the kind compliment, Ron. Yep, I'm a jack of all trades...makeup artist, stylist, and photographer. The reason Shelby lets me photograph her is because she gets new clothes (and sometimes boots) out of it. ;)
Great shot, composition and textures are perfect.

Nice shot Melissa. I liken the muted tones, it helps create that weathered mood. I always start out thinking I'll go for a muted shot but then get seduced by the curves tool and come out with colours and contrast! I'm currently working on some ladscapes that I'm determined to do muted - any suggestions?

@drphoto: I know what you mean. Normally, I set out to try different treatments, but in the end I usually go back to the levels and curves adjustments. I, too, love me some color and contrast. :)
If you want to email me one of your landscape photos, I'll take a look at it and offer you any suggestions.
Thanks, Dan.
great capture. love the muted color, tones and texture. i think the creases are emphasized, but not super emphasized as the contrast in the photo is more between the dark legs and the light wall, not quite so much within the legs. i think you definitely got the weathered look. how did you achieve it?

@danthro: I'll send you an email.
Awesome! love it! Love the weathered look!

@Sandrine: Thank you so much, Sandrine. I'm glad you like it. :)
Love this one! The composition and tone are excellent, very well thought out.

@Evelyn: Thank you so much, Evelyn.
Thank you for taking the time to drop by. :)
I don't see any legs. I see jeans and boots. For all I know you have 2x4's inside those jeans. Nice shot though, with or without actual legs.

@Twelvebit: ;) haha So you may have a point.
Well done Melissa! Love the composition and contrast in this image. You are not alone with your love of "leg images". In 1951 Andrew Wyeth made a non-traditional self-portrait titles "Trodden Weed". Now that is a tough act to follow!

@Jim Mahan: Thank you so much, Jim. And thanks for the brief art history lesson. I've never heard of Andrew Wyeth before, so I will definitely look up his work. Thanks again!
