Chevy

An old Chevy basking in the evening light.

These old cars belong to a friend of mine. Her husband collects and restores them...these are some of the leftovers. I found that photographing cars is much more challenging than it looks. I applaud those who make it look so easy.

These images were taken last Thursday evening. The light was so beautiful that I didn't want to waste the opportunity.

Great shot, a bw perhaps would have enhanced the moody feeling of this shot. Your composition is wonderfull

Well, per your advice, I played around with the image but I didn't like how it looked in b&w...however, I came up with a sepia version that I liked. You'll have to let me know what you think.

Killer shot, Melissa! The color, the composition, the light are all just beautiful. This composition (and subject) would make for a great HDR – like the Land Rover shot we both commented on yesterday…really terrific the way it is, though.

@Ron: Thanks, Ron. I loved Daniel's HDR of the Land Rover...I probably have enough exposures to do it, but I don't have a clue how to process it. I shot 6 different exposures hoping to get a good one. Tomorrow is the sepia version...you'll have to let me know what you think.

Awesome idea. You did great with these shots. YOU make it look easy. You chose the perfect time of day too. The lighting is fantastic. The "golden hour" never fails!

@Edward James: Wow, thanks for the compliment, Edward! Have to tell you, the "golden hour" is my favorite time of day. I just love the golden light. Although, I have thought about going back sometime to get some beautiful early morning light pictures.
