@Rags: Thank you so much, Kanyi. I'm a big fan of your work as well. :)
What a compelling series this is. I’m starting to recognize some of the faces!

@Ron: I haven't decided how many more from this series I will upload. Not all of them have turned out as nice as these...Plus I don't want to bore people with my family photos. ;) I've been really surprised by the positive response I've received on these so far. To me, these images are special because they are my family; I didn't expect other people to appreciate them as much as I do.
Superbe.. Décidément, ce patio procure une excellente lumière. J'adore cette série. Bravissimo.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm relatively new to photography, so I appreciate all the support and encouragement. Thank you.

wow. this is a really great one. very sweet. great light and processing as usual. is this your sister? in any case, i like how the 'mother' looks sort of better than the 'daughter'--more natural looking here i think.

@danthro: Yes, this is my sister, Monica. I did a few shots of her by herself, so by the time we did these she had loosened up a bit. And what's interesting is that this image was taken before I shot the ones of M. by herself, which probably explains why she didn't look as "natural".
Thank you very much for the compliment. :)
Beautiful, again. You really have a knack for portraits

How lucky your family is to get professional portraits at home. Nice work again.

Another absolutely georgous portrait Melissa.

This, as with the others, has a wonderful, comfortable feel to it. That's the advantage to taking portraits of people we know well; they tend to look more like "themselves." I like the composition and crop here, too. I like, for example, how the weighted "center" of the image where daughter and mother meet is just off to the right. Well done.
