Beyer Home Winona Lake, IN
The Beyer Home once overlooked the site of Billy Sunday's Tabernacle. The Billy Sunday Tabernacle was demolished in 1992 and is now the site of the Hillside Amphitheater.
cool shot!...interesting architecture...nice b+W:)

@Will: I love b&w but I have so much trouble processing them...not really sure why that is. Thanks for the encouragement, very much appreciated. :)
I love this! The shadows of the trees give it great texture.

What a brilliant angle, the chairs leading up to the stairs give this a creepy kind of feel. Lovely shot.

@Graham Russon: Thank you very much, Graham. When I was processing this, I thought it looked a little creepy, too. Maybe once the leaves come in, it might soften the feel of it. In the summertime, the Hillside Amphitheater is a popular site for many outdoor weddings. It is also used for outdoor concerts.
Beautiful architecture. I like the light/shadow play creating a strange atmosphere! Great B&W shot.

Amazing architecture, I love the last two building shots too. Fantastic Melissa.

There's a lot of very nice elements mixing here – not the least of which is a super B&W and all the strong horizontal lines with the benches ... but there's definitely something creepy here ... I think it could be the dark shadows all along the front under the wrap-around porch roof-line ...

nice shot! like the b&w, contrast and composition. and great light of course :) nice atmosphere from the sky too. only thing i can think of to improve it might be if the building was a bit sharper.

like the vignetting; was it intentional? nice capture...

@paulski: The more I started tweaking the vignette, the more I liked it...I liked how it focused the light and added some drama.
Melissa, This is more than awesome if they make a word for that. One of my favorites from you and that is becoming more difficult.

@Gary: Wow, thanks! I've been trying to experiment a little while I'm waiting for blooms. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed photographing this home and the Winona Hotel. Thank you so much for your support, Gary. I'm thrilled that you like these so well. :)
