Taken back in October 2007, same day as the Blue Jeans photo. This was when I was just learning how to retouch. I was going for the soft glamorous look.
Absolutely soft and glamorous ... this is such a beautiful portrait ... her face has a soft, smooth glow and her eyes are perfectly sharp ... the green turtleneck and the warm brick wall just frame her beauty to perfection ... terrific work, Melissa!

i think this just might be my favorite portrait of her you've posted. very sweet portrait and emphasizes her beautiful smile very well. great light, rich colors, composition, etc. she should be happy you make her look grown up ;)

@danthro: She's asked me if she could use this for her senior portrait in two years. I got a chuckle from that. This is actually my favorite one of her...I have it outside my locker at work.
And how did you achieve the soft glamorous look?

@Twelvebit: Ancient Chinese Secret...;)
Actually it has to do with Gaussian Blur and changing your blend mode to Soft Light. If you want more info, just let me know and I can email you.
