Okay, I didn't take this photo (the hubby did), but I did crop and process it. Does that count?
This was taken at Shelby's high school choir performance. The theme was music from the 70's. They saved the best for last that night. This guy was the last soloist to perform, and as the title suggests, he sang Crocodile Rock. He was totally rockin' the Elton John look that I remember as a kid growing up.
I thought this was a fun image and thought I'd share it.
A kewl skewl image. Looks like great fun!

@Michael Skorulski: It was fun. Thanks Michael. :)
Really has a concert hall feel to it with the great tones in the background ... that black to green really rocks (was that part of your processing contribution?)! Hubby did a great job on the shot ... well composed, and the kid did a great job with Sir Elton. Elton John was the very first concert I attended as a kid ... 1975 at the Arena here in St. Louis ... the building has since been torn down ... but I remember it like it was yesterday!

@Ron: There was so much noise in these...I had to clean them up, sharpen them, and tweak the contrast. The school hired someone locally to do the light show; the guy did a great job...very professional looking.
It's funny, the Elton of today is nothing like the Elton I remember of the late seventies. He's still flamboyant but at least he's a bit more modest about it. I cannot imagine seeing him back then (granted I was only two in 1975), I bet that was a HUGE thrill. I'm sure he put on a heck of a show. That's very cool.
very nice; with five kids, i've been to my share of these kinds of programs, and they aren't easy to photograph. tell the husband well done, and nice pp to get it ready for posting. the composition is nice and dynamic here, to boot...

i was going to say this looks very different from your photography and i was about to consider that maybe that was because it was a different subject when i saw that you didn't take it after all. my confidence in my ability to recognize Melissa style is restored. ;) anyway, good shot, especially like the framing and how that bit of green (smoke?) on the right balances it out.
