The C Family 4 v2 (no hand)

All right, here it is. I can still pick out where it was...hopefully to someone who hasn't seen the original, they won't. To me, there's a bit of a tonal difference; it's not perfect, but all-in-all I'm happy with it.

great job! not noticeable at all. i mean if i stare at the spot and look for it, i can see how it's not exactly the same as the other bricks, but i doubt people who don't know to look for it will notice at all. i see the tonal difference you're talking about, but i don't think that is very significant because there is tonal variation on the other bricks anyway. again, great job!

@paulski: Of course I'll share...all I did was use the clone stamp with a normal blend mode. I tried the patch and the healing brush, but the clone stamp did the best. I still lost some of the texture and there's a bit of a tonal difference, but I honestly didn't know how to fix that. I tinkered around a bit seeing if I could, but it only made it look worse. I definitely need to work on my ps skills.

Apart from the slight tonal range difference, one can't notice that you post processed it. Well done!

Terrific job, Melissa ... I think I might crop out that angular form along the left edge - it's a bit distracting.

@Ron: Yeah, I agree. I kept it larger in case they wanted to order an 8x10 or something so I could have room to crop it out then. Oh, and I never had a chance to thank you for the suggestion (email). Thank you. :)

Maybe it's more apparent at a larger size, but I can't say it's obvious here. However, if it bothers you, one way to hide the textural and tonal differences would be to fake a narrow DOF. The bricks are the furtherest element from the camera up close and out into the distance, so you could make selections around the couple radiating out at two or three different levels of Gaussian blur to simulate a more shallow DOF. That will also have the effect of focusing attention on the couple.

this doesn't boder me, i like the vignetting, about the framing if you don't mind me saying so i would crop the grass giving a tighter crop, and would erase the nail on the bench as it distracts me, i like the tones.
