Shelby Under the Viaduct - 2

Taken back in October 2007.

I originally processed this back in October, but as with yesterday's image, I decided to reprocess it this morning. I've been kind of frustrated lately with my processing and retouching, so I've been doing some tutorials and trying to improve.

This image is highly retouched (or at least by my standards), but does it still look natural?

@Will: Thanks, Will...very much appreciated. I think I've stared at this so long that I have a hard time telling. Plus, to me, it's dramatically different from the original. Thanks again!

Looks good to me, but assuming you intend the image to have a purpose beyond posting on your blog, the ultimate test is probably: how does it print in the 8 x 10" range, or greater? I confess that from time to time I post images that look fine on a monitor but wouldn't pass the printing test.

great portrait again. beautiful tones, light, basically same reasons as yesterday's shot, except i think i like yesterday's better. not entirely sure, but i think possibly because of how yesterday's emphasized the face more

The only constructive comment I would add is that I think Shelby's face is a bit too light (bright) in this image as compared with yesterday's image. The background and overall image from yesterday was a bit warmer and It just seemed more natural in its surroundings. Still a beautiful portrait of an amazingly beautiful young woman.
