Sadie's Dress - Senior Portrait

I've been exploring different processing techniques and trying to find what works with my style. And as much as I love head and shoulders shots, I've been forcing myself to think about other compositions. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much... All-in-all, I'm really happy how this shot turned out, though I'm considering trying a couple other different treatments.

love the light, colors, tones in this. i like the POV and how the dress is hanging off the side too. the only thing about it i would change is the way her right arm is positioned, it looks awkward and unnatural to me, i'd almost prefer it was maybe hanging or something, like the dress. everything else about the shot is amazing; it sort of makes me think of snow white, especially with the red dress. but i think that's why the arm bothers me, its position looks more like a pose and less like snow white :)

I really like this pose Malissa - it's awesome!! And the stone against her gorgeous dress adds such a lovely feel to it!

Very challenging pose and I appreciate that you were trying something new. I agree with danthro that the arm is a little awkward because it is going against the "flow" of gravity exhibited elsewhere in the shot. But I like that you were thinking creatively.
