And We Have Liftoff!

My husband brought me out to the driving range so I could photograph his swing that way he could see what he needs to work on. Instead of capturing his swing, I wanted a shot of his club striking the ball, but got this instead. When I looked at the display to see what I captured, I was thrilled.

LOL, great title, and the story about it made me laugh too. i'd kind of wondered what happens to those things after they hit the ball, but i never imagined they go straight up in the air. cool DOF.
...i hope your husband eventually got some shots of his swing too ;)

@danthro: I gotta say, luck was definitely on my side for this shot. I guess the planets were lined up just right at that moment because when I tried to get another shot of the tee flying, I got nothing.

Yeah, I'm not that much of a meanie, I did get a gazillion shots of his swing...well, maybe not quite a gazillion, but close. ;)

Holy cow! What an amazing shot. And I love that you posted this instead of "the swing" -- I mean let's get the priorities right here. That swing may be beautiful or not, but THIS, now this is worth posting. What a shot.
