In a Dream...

I was going for a very soft, dreamy look, only wanting her left eye in focus. This was taken back in July. We haven't had time to go out and shoot lately since school started back up.

beautiful shot here, melissa. i'm a sucker for those extremely shallow DoF shots, and you can't get much shallower than a 1.4. i love the dreamy efect...

Definitely dreamy ... beautiful composition and DOF ... I, too, am a sucker for that soft dreamy look and you've bowled me over with that luscious green background. I agree with everything said above. I'll add that I like the eyes and hair, they seem to lead the viewer's eye. And the camera angle is very interesting. Well done.

WOW, this is definitely up there with my favorite Melissa W photos. Awesome portrait, awesome processing. it's like her head is really right in front of me and at the same time definitely a dreamy look to it. great softness but wonderful realism at the same time. LOVE the light (of course) and the color and detail (especially on the front eye and her hair). I don't think i have enough superlatives. I bet she loves your photographs of her!
