this girl is very photogenic, and combined with your skillz that makes a wonderful series of photos you're posting here. i think if i had to pick a favorite between this and the next three you've posted thus far, i'd pick this one, but tough call. just love the dof, colors, light, tones, everything about this one. she looks like she sees herself as mature for her age, not necessarily incorrectly, but i can't guess that much more.

@danthro: I think you're right about her seeing herself mature for her age. After spending a few hours with her, I forgot how young she is. She's actually 16 and is graduating a year early (she skipped her junior year entirely). She's very intelligent and has a very bright future ahead of her.
This portrait seems to be the hands-down favorite (it's actually my favorite, too). I was this close to erasing it after I shot it because I thought the background on the right might be a little too distracting. Now, I'm so glad I didn't. I think because of the shallow dof, it manages to work.
