i agree with Ron's comment. i wonder if it might help if you'd cropped out a bit of the right side. also the lines in the shot seem to pull my eye a outward (up and down) toward the right a lot. your old train depot looks like a beautiful place!

@danthro: I'll have to try it...you know, when I was cropping this, I was mostly concerned about the left side more than the right. You're right about all the lines, which has made adjusting the alignment very frustrating. I tried a tighter crop, but thought it changed the mood, so I changed it back.
I really like this because it's different. I might crop that right side, too, but what I'd really do (impossible after the shot) is not crop the right, but get more in front of the subject. I think it's the angle (slightly to the left of the subject) that makes the lines in the door a little distracting. But if you take it straight on with the same composition, I would think it would be just right and you wouldn't crop the right side. Well, that's just my 2 pennies -- and they ain't worth much in this economy!
